Ismail is a brand ambassador for Skechers. He is a Skechers sponsored athlete representing the brand on local and international events. He is a long distance athlete running distances from 5k to full marathons. He trains and competes under Skechers GoRunners as his local running group in the UAE.
Ismail has set a couple of course records including Abras Mina 10km series course (30min:33sec), Zayed Sports City 10km course (30min:47sec) , Dubai Desert Road Race 10km (30min:45sec), Mirdiff Milers 10mile race(50min:37sec) Dubai Autodrome 10km race (31min:52sec) and the Dubai Creek Striders Half Marathon (1hr:07min.00sec).
He has as well set and broken his own record in Chennai Marathon in two consecutive years 2012 and 2013 in the full distance setting it from 2hr:36min to 2hr:32min, He finished 2nd in Wipro San Francisco Marathon 2013 in 2hr:30min
He has represented Skechers in other international events including;
Charleville International Half Marathon 2013 finishing 2nd place 2014 also 2nd, 2015 also 2nd and finally 2016 finishing 1st.

Bristol 10km Race 2014 finishing 4th place
Silverstone 10km race 2014 finishing 1st place
Edinburgh Marathon 2014 finishing 7th place
Sofia International marathon 2014 finishing 8th place with a new personal best of 2hr:26min, 2015 finishing 5th with a life time best of 2:18:45, Aramco Houston HAlf Marathon 2016 finishing 9th in a life time best of 1:02:45, Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon 2017 finishing 16th in 2:21:40
He is looking forward to improving on all his records this coming season and aiming to set a personal best time in Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon next year.
